The rights we don’t have

Our will and sin are so intimately intertwined that Christ had to do away with both and make us a “new creation” in Him to purify our vessel for His presence. Why then, do us believers, always feel the need to exercise our rights as if we had any? Unlike the substitute lamb, who so quietly accepted His slaughter, why do we feel the need to protest an innocence that was never ours? The minute we try to exercise these rights over our lives is the minute sin will exercise its rights over us.
