Diluting obedience

Being obedient to God is rarely complicated. Disobedience, however, is always complicated. One must attempt to validate their profession of following Christ with the foot steps they are taking away from Him. Perhaps this is the litmus test for us Christians concerning obedience; that when our decisions become complicated we are flirting with sin.

What was the first thing the serpent said to Eve in Genesis 3? He said “Did God really say”. From the very beginning the enemy has been tripping up believers with diluting the directions that God has already made clear. The key is that if God tells us to go, stay, or wait then the matter is settled. The more we think about it the more we risk falling into deception.
