Broken Poetry From A Broken Man

A cry deep within, pulling me asunder

A heart that quakes but fails to match Your Word

Draw within me oh ancient thunder

And descend upon thee oh heavenly bird

I feel divided,

attention    grabbing sores sapping the very blood from my heart

What remains of thy spirit, aching man?

He pants, he begs, and he falls apart

Assuage this calcified heart

Wade the murky waters of this soul

Expel in me from the very start

Every measure of fleshy control

I am now united,

grafted within your vine so stout

What remains of thy flesh, spiritual man?

He shrieks, he screams, and he goes without
