Our Redeemer

If we open our Bibles it is not hard to find what matters to God. Our Lord thought little of the kings but frequently of the orphans. He wasn’t impressed by great multitudes yet a single widow overwhelmed him with two copper coins. Rich men left his presence poor and poor men left his presence rich. He warned his disciples to keep their distance, not from the leper, but from the Pharisee. He was a voice for the voiceless, bread for the breadless, drink for the drink-less, a home for the homeless, and hope for the hopeless. This is our Redeemer.
